Liberty Island visitors will now be able to experience the Statue of Liberty Museum, which contains permanent and rotating displays of statue-related artifacts, a three-room immersive theater, and Lady Liberty’s original 1886 torch.

The museum’s design gives the appearance of rising up from the earth carrying with it a beautifully planted Garden Roof Assembly completed with native grasses. As visitors ascend the stone staircase, the sloped meadow, achieved using Hydrotech's GardNet, is seen on one side and a viewing platform appears on the other that provides a 360 degree view of the New York skyline.
