The Kendeda Building has won certification as the 28th “living building” worldwide under the Living Building Challenge 3.1. The Living Building Challenge is the world’s most rigorous proven performance standard for buildings with the goal of having a building that gives more than it takes. A major part of the Living Building Challenge is implementing transparent materials that show where a product comes from, what it is made of and where it goes at the end of its life. Waterproofing, roofing, pedestal paver and vegetated roofing materials were supplied to help meet the high standards of the LBC and help create a healthy building.
